Soccer Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 9-0 to the Denver Cyclones. While losing is never fun, Columbus can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while Denver are ranked second).

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Denver, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Columbus wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 9-0 loss against Wapsie Valley on the 21st. As for Denver, they have also already played their next matchup, a 9-0 win against Don Bosco on the 21st.
