Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Notre Dame entered their tilt with Hundred on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Hornets. Considering the Fighting Irish have won five games by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Dominick Bombardiere, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Posey, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases and four runs.

Notre Dame pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Hundred, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Coming up, Notre Dame will head out to face off against Grafton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hundred, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Harman at 5:00 p.m.
