Basketball Recap: Centre Takes a Loss

Centre lost against Herington back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Centre Cougars fell 41-32 to the Herington Railroaders.

When it comes to explaining why Centre lost, don't look at Olivia Carlson. Despite the final result, she posted 13 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. What's more, Carlson also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Herington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leslyn Kremeier, who scored ten points and five steals. Kremeier has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Kenley Kickhaefer was another key player, putting up ten points.

Centre's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Herington, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10.

Centre has already played their next game, a 58-39 defeat against Canton-Galva on the 15th. As for Herington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 36-24 loss against Goessel on the 14th.
