Diamond Ranch had lost six straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 4-18 to make it seven. They came up short against the Don Lugo Conquistadores, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Conquistadores this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-1 loss two weeks ago.

Isaiah Aparicio was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

As for Don Lugo, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games.

On Don Lugo's side, they got a great performance from Trevor Young as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Young has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jaden Burillo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jayden Ruiz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
