Orofino dropped their record down to 13-8 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 16-3 to the Genesee Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-6 last Monday.

Livia Johnson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

As for Genesee, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Considering they have won 13 contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

On Genesee's side, Kendra Meyer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Meyer has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Genesee got a massive performance out of Sophie Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Johnson has posted over her last six games. Another player making a difference was Sydney Banks, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Orofino does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Genesee, they will host Asotin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
