Soccer Game Preview: Rockwall-Heath vs. Royse City

The Rockwall-Heath Hawks will face off against the Royse City Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Rockwall-Heath is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Forney on Tuesday. Neither Rockwall-Heath nor Forney could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Royse City had to settle for a 3-2 defeat against Longview on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 507th, while the Lobos are ranked 102nd).

With that draw, Rockwall-Heath's record moves to 7-3-1. As for Royse City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4-2 record this season.

Everything went Rockwall-Heath's way against Royse City in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Rockwall-Heath made off with a 5-1 win. Does Rockwall-Heath have another victory up their sleeve, or will Royse City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
