Basketball Game Preview: Chequamegon Screaming Eagles vs. Phillips Loggers

Chequamegon and Phillips are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Chequamegon Screaming Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Phillips Loggers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Chequamegon is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Chequamegon lost to Newman on the road by a 67-50 margin.

Phillips has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were outmatched by Stratford and fell 73-35. The matchup marked the Loggers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Chequamegon's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Phillips, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Chequamegon came up short against Phillips in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 73-65. Can Chequamegon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
