Basketball Game Preview: Orem Tigers vs. Maple Mountain Golden Eagles

The Orem Tigers will challenge the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orem knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully Maple Mountain likes a good challenge.

Orem's upcoming game probably won't be as stressful as their last, when they took on another nationally ranked opponent: Timpview, who was ranked 30th at the time (Orem was ranked 49th). Orem came out on top against Timpview by a score of 63-55 on Friday.

Maple Mountain played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They walked away with a 58-51 victory over Salem Hills.

Orem's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Maple Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Orem beat Maple Mountain 75-63 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Will Orem repeat their success, or does Maple Mountain have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
