Softball Recap: Saguaro Drops Season-High Score on Arcadia

Saguaro scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 13-9 to the Arcadia Titans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sabercats of the 16-10 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Sophia Chiouinard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Cameron Christenson also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Saguaro's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Arcadia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2-1.

Coming up, Saguaro will be taking part in a tournament against Bourgade Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Saguaro has given up an average of 15.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Arcadia, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Desert Sunrise at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
