Roane County had won nine straight games and Aaron Layne did his part to make it ten on Friday. The Roane County Yellowjackets walked away with a 91-80 win over the McMinn Central Chargers thanks in part to Layne, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and 16 boards. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Blake Herrell was another key player, going 9 of 18 on his way to 23 points. Those 23 points gave him a new career-high.

Roane County is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. As for McMinn Central, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.
