Baseball Recap: Ashland Comes Up Short

Ashland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-3 to the Crater Comets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Comets this season, with their most recent defeat being a 8-7 loss on Friday.

Ashland saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Malakai Chandler, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another was Anthony Albano, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Ashland's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Crater, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ashland is set to square off against their familiar foe Thurston at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Crater will take on rival Springfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
