Volleyball Game Preview: Escondido Adventist Academy Hawks vs. Del Lago Academy Firebirds

The Escondido Adventist Academy Hawks will venture away from home to face off against the Del Lago Academy Firebirds at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Escondido Adventist Academy is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Escondido Adventist Academy took on Tri-City Christian on Tuesday. The Hawks lost 3-0 to the Eagles.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Del Lago Academy can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. Everything went their way against St. Joseph Academy as they made off with a 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 26-24, 26-24.

Escondido Adventist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Del Lago Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-20.

Escondido Adventist Academy skirted past Del Lago Academy 3-2 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
