Softball Recap: Bishop Ludden Comes Up Short

Bishop Ludden had lost four straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 0-9-1 to make it five. They came up short against the Port Byron Panthers, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Gaelic Knights' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Port Byron, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2. Considering they have won nine contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Port Byron's part, they got a massive performance out of Luciana Debois, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Raelee McDowell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

While Bishop Ludden had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
