White Plains was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Gadsden City on Friday. The White Plains Wildcats blew past the Gadsden City Titans 18-3. Considering the Wildcats have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

White Plains is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. Gadsden City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as White Plains Wildcats face off against Valley Head Tigers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. White Plains' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Valley Head's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Gadsden City, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-6 loss against Geraldine on the 7th.
