Football Recap: Barberton Takes a Loss

Barberton extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-7. They were beaten by the Copley Indians 42-14. The Magics were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

As for Copley, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2. Considering they have won six games by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bryce Martin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 138 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 80 yards. Anderson Madden was another key player, rushing for 54 yards and one score on only six carries.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Barberton is set to challenge their familiar foe Aurora at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Copley will take on rival Revere at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
