Volleyball Game Preview: Alamosa Mean Moose vs. Fowler Grizzlies

Alamosa is a perfect 5-0 against Fowler since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mean Moose will head out to take on the Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. Alamosa is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 18 games.

Last Saturday, Alamosa earned a 2-0 victory over Lamar.

Addison Rice was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 12 digs and three aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

Meanwhile, Fowler came up short against Swink on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Grizzlies have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12, 22-25, 25-16.

Alamosa's win bumped their record up to 21-1. As for Fowler, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Everything went Alamosa's way against Fowler in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Alamosa made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mean Moose since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
