Basketball Game Preview: Sam Houston Hurricanes vs. Highlands Owls

Sam Houston and Highlands are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Sam Houston Hurricanes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Highlands Owls at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sam Houston is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Sam Houston came up short against Edison and fell 60-49.

Meanwhile, Highlands won against Burbank on Tuesday with 75 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Highlands took down Brackenridge 75-56. Highlands is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.1 points per game. As for Sam Houston, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-19.
