Football Recap: Bucktail Comes Up Short

Bucktail extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 1-6. They were outmatched by the Keystone Panthers and fell 70-6. While losing is never fun, the Bucks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 558th, while the Panthers are ranked 228th).

As for Keystone, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Considering they have won four matchups by more than 36 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dom Corcetti had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 129 yards and three TDs, while also punching in one touchdown on the ground. He is becoming a predictor of Keystone's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was James Rankin, who gained 86 total yards and two touchdowns.

Looking ahead, Bucktail will square off against Cameron County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Keystone, they will face off against Ridgway/Johnsonburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
