Baseball Recap: Coolidge Takes a Loss

Coolidge lost against Valley Christian back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bears came up short against the Trojans, falling 24-2. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maurice Glass made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Coolidge's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Valley Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Coolidge will face off against rival Globe at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Valley Christian is set to challenge their familiar foe Seton Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans are on a four-game streak of home wins, the Sentinels a seven-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
