Basketball Recap: West Scranton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West Scranton fought the good fight in their overtime game against Lakeland on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Chiefs by a score of 47-45. The matchup marked the Invaders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lakeland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cole Tonkin, who posted 13 points. What's more, Tonkin posted four rebounds, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. David Naniewicz was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

West Scranton's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Lakeland, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-2.

West Scranton and Lakeland will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Invaders will take on rival Valley View at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lakeland is set to face off against their familiar foe Dunmore at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
