Baseball Game Preview: White Oak Roughnecks vs. Canton Eagles

The White Oak Roughnecks will challenge the Canton Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Thursday just wasn't the day for White Oak's offense. They fell just short of Grand Saline by a score of 1-0 on Thursday.

White Oak saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxsen Ludlow, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Canton made easy work of Wills Point on Friday and carried off a 10-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

White Oak's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Canton, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

White Oak skirted past Canton 4-3 in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. Will the Roughnecks repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
