Soccer Recap: El Rancho Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

El Rancho kept a clean sheet against Whittier on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Whittier Cardinals. Given the Dons 's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 421st, while the Cardinals are ranked 1118th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Manuel Estrada and Jeremiah Chavez scored both of El Rancho's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

El Rancho's victory bumped their record up to 12-8-2. As for Whittier, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-15-1 record this season.

As of now, neither El Rancho nor Whittier have any future games scheduled.
