Football Game Preview: Ambridge Bridgers vs. Blackhawk Cougars

Ambridge hasn't had much luck against Blackhawk recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bridgers will head out to face off against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Ambridge's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against West Allegheny on Friday. They took a blow against the Indians, falling 70-0. While losing is never fun, the Bridgers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 424th, while the Indians are ranked 167th).

Meanwhile, Blackhawk played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Montour, falling 28-7. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Blackhawk's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Ambridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Ambridge couldn't quite get it done against Blackhawk in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 29-21. Can the Bridgers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
