The Sprague Olympians will venture away from home to take on the Tualatin Timberwolves at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Sprague took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Central 5-4.
Shayla Qualls spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Brenna Morris was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.5 runs per game.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tualatin). They were the clear victors by a 24-0 margin over South Salem on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Timberwolves, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Reese Strode made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Strode was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madisen Garrett, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Sydney Jensen was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
Tualatin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Tualatin is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. Sprague's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6.
