Basketball Recap: Cinco Ranch Snags 15th Win in Last 18 Games

It was a proper cat-fight when Cinco Ranch took on Katy on Friday. The Cinco Ranch Cougars blew past the Katy Tigers 69-43. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

Cinco Ranch had a senior duo take command as Aniya' Foy went 14 for 23 on her way to 33 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals and Camille Torrence went 8 of 10 en route to 21 points and five rebounds. Foy's evening made it 46 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keeana Hickman, who posted six points and six assists.

Cinco Ranch has been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Katy, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-11.

Cinco Ranch will head out to square off against Katy Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Cinco Ranch sitting on seven straight victories and Katy Taylor on four. As for Katy, they will take on Seven Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
