Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Melina Petramalo and Kyla Frazier Lead Bellarmine Prep to Victory

Bellarmine Prep won against Lakes last Tuesday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Bellarmine Prep Lions took down the Lincoln Abes 65-50. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Abes recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Bellarmine Prep was led to victory by Kyla Frazier and Melina Petramalo. Frazier posted 21 points along with eight rebounds and six steals, while Petramalo went 10 for 18 to rack up 27 points. Frazier's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jaela Jones, who scored 11 points and seven steals.

Bellarmine Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matches.

Bellarmine Prep's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Lincoln, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-11.

Bellarmine Prep has already played their next game, a 77-49 loss against North Thurston on the 8th. As for Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-51 win against Gig Harbor on the 8th.
