East Carter fell victim to Van Buren and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Redbirds' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

East Carter has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-13 record this season. As for Van Buren, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-7.
