Allentown is 9-1 against Ewing since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Redbirds will head out on the road to square off against the Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. Ewing took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Allentown, who comes in off a win.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Allentown and West Windsor-Plainsboro North meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Redbirds came out on top against the Knights by a score of 7-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Meanwhile, Ewing fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Princeton Day on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 6-5. The Blue Devils' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Sam Liebowitz was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Mason Bourne was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Ewing's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Allentown, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Allentown came out on top in a nail-biter against Ewing in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redbirds since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
