Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Penn Yan Academy

Penn Yan Academy hadn't done well against Waterloo recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Penn Yan Academy Mustangs came out on top against the Waterloo Tigers by a score of 40-29. The win was all the more spectacular given the Mustangs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Tigers are ranked 84th).

The victory was the fourth in a row for Penn Yan Academy, bringing their record for this year to 13-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points on average over those games.
