Basketball Recap: William Monroe Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Spotswood, William Monroe was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Turner Ashby Knights by a score of 49-37. The Dragons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

William Monroe pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Turner Ashby, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
