Basketball Recap: Tekamah-Herman Takes a Loss

If Tekamah-Herman was feeling good fresh off their 42-15 takedown of Mead last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tekamah-Herman Tigers had to suffer through a 55-7 loss at the hands of the North Bend Central Tigers. While losing is never fun, Tekamah-Herman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while North Bend Central is ranked 22nd).

Tekamah-Herman has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season. As for North Bend Central, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tekamah-Herman will challenge Wakefield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Bend Central, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tekamah-Herman at 6:00 p.m. on February 11th.
