Softball Recap: Phillips Exeter Academy's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last five games, Phillips Exeter Academy finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Paul's Big Red. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

Phillips Exeter Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paige Sweet (2026), who went 2-for-4 with one double.

The defeat snapped Phillips Exeter Academy's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-3 record. As for St. Paul's, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.
