Penn Treaty extends road losing streak to six

Penn Treaty's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Freire Charter by a score of 44-42. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Penn Treaty has scored all season.

Penn Treaty lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Keyon Davis, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Hagan, who scored 11 points.

Freire Charter found their leader in underclassman Ibrahim Mahmoud, who scored ten points. Jahmir Williams was another key contributor, scoring six points.

Penn Treaty bumped their record down to 2-4 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Freire Charter, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.

Penn Treaty will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Franklin Towne at 3:15 a.m. Franklin Towne presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Penn Treaty in Pennsylvania (Franklin Towne is ranked 308th, while Penn Treaty is ranked 642nd). As for Freire Charter, they will square off against Liguori Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
