Softball Recap: Purdue Polytechnic Comes Up Short

If Purdue Polytechnic was riding high fresh off their 16-4 takedown of Indianapolis Shortridge on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Techies fell 22-17 to the Pike Red Devils on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (16), the Techies still had to take the loss.

Purdue Polytechnic has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Pike, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-6 record.

Purdue Polytechnic has already played their next matchup (against Indianapolis Crispus Attucks), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Pike, they will square off against North Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
