Basketball Recap: Bridge Creek Takes a Loss

Bridge Creek lost against Marlow back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bridge Creek Bobcats took a 70-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marlow Outlaws. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Outlaws are ranked 91st).

Marlow got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Parker Boyles out in front who went 8 of 17 en route to 21 points. Boyles' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Blayd Harris was another key player, going 8 for 14 to rack up 22 points.

Bridge Creek is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Marlow, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Coming up, Bridge Creek will face off against Purcell at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marlow, they will take on Comanche at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Marlow is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season.
