Jeffersonville is 0-10 against New Albany since September of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Red Devils will challenge the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Tuesday, Jeffersonville didn't have quite enough to beat Jennings County and fell 3-2. While the Red Devils didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-21 in the first set.
Jeffersonville took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-15, 22-25, 25-22, 16-14.

Jeffersonville's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Mattie Barker, who had 16 digs and six assists, and Samantha Dues, who had five digs and four aces. Barker has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.
Meanwhile, New Albany came up short against Southwood on Saturday and fell 2-0.
Jeffersonville will have to contain Kinley Bush as she made an impact in New Albany's last game. She had six digs and two aces.
New Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Jeffersonville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-20.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's match: Jeffersonville has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.9 aces per game. However, it's not like New Albany struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
