Recap: Whale Branch Warriors vs. Hampton County Hurricanes
The Whale Branch Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hampton County. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Whale Branch in their matchups with Hampton County: they've now lost three in a row.
Whale Branch lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Laron Wright, who scored seven points. Another player making a difference was Bradford Thompson, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds and five steals.
Whale Branch now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Hampton County, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Whale Branch will head out on the road to face off against Branchville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Branchville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Friday. As for Hampton County, they will be playing at home against Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
