Soccer Game Preview: San Lorenzo vs. San Leandro

The San Lorenzo Grizzlies will head out to take on the San Leandro Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for San Lorenzo's offense. They came up short against Berkeley on Tuesday, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 702nd, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 57th).

Meanwhile, San Leandro hadn't done well against Castro Valley recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. San Leandro walked away with a 3-1 win over Castro Valley. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

The victory got San Leandro back to even at 5-5-3. As for San Lorenzo, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-6-2.
