Football Recap: Bethune Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bobcats on Thursday. Bethune had to suffer through a 75-38 loss at the hands of Granada. Bethune was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-20.

Ismael Perla and Angel Millan certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Perla rushed for 210 yards and one score while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, while Millan gained 169 total yards and three touchdowns. Perla's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 142 rushing yards.

Sebastian Pizarro was his usual excellent self, rushing for 225 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries for Granada. Pizarro has become a key player for Granada: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Alejandro Perez was another key player, gaining 150 total yards and two touchdowns.

Bethune's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Granada, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

Bethune does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granada, they are taking a road trip to challenge Sierra Grande at 12:00 p.m. on the 8th. The Bobcats will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
