Volleyball Recap: Devin Keene and Leonardo Lopez Dominguez Secure Win for Valley

Valley won the last time they faced Cristo Rey St. Viator and things went their way on Monday too. The Valley Vikings were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Cristo Rey St. Viator Royals. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Vikings this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Valley was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-9, 25-12.

Leading Valley to victory were Leonardo Lopez Dominguez and Devin Keene. Lopez Dominguez had six digs and three aces, while Keene had three digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Keene a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 26 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in three consecutive matches.

Valley pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Cristo Rey St. Viator, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
