Softball Game Preview: Cobden Appleknockers vs. Agape Christian Knights

The Cobden Appleknockers are taking a road trip to challenge the Agape Christian Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cobden has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Norris City-Omaha-Enfield hit Cobden with a nine-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Appleknockers came up short against the Fighting Cardinals, falling 15-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Appleknockers were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Agape Christian lost 20-3 to Century on Thursday. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Centurions recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

McKenlee Miller was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Cobden and nudges their season record down to 4-5. As for Agape Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Cobden beat Agape Christian 12-8 in their previous matchup last Monday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Appleknockers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
