Soccer Game Preview: Andrean vs. Wheeler

Andrean is 2-8 against Wheeler since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Fighting 59ers will square off against the Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Andrean is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Morgan Township a 1-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for Andrean.

Meanwhile, Wheeler made easy work of Washington Township on Tuesday and carried off a 9-0 win. Considering Wheeler have won five matches by more than three goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Washington Township with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Harper Schaberg (5), Leo Vega (3), and Iby Kawamleh.

The victory got Wheeler back to even at 7-7-1. As for Andrean, the win got them back to even at 8-8-1.

Andrean beat Wheeler 2-0 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fighting 59ers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
