Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shepherd Hill Regional). Everything went their way against the Oakmont Regional Spartans on Friday as they made off with a 62-38 win. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on four straight.

Aiden Tyler was his usual excellent self, rushing for 251 yards and four scores on only 13 carries. Another rusher making a difference was Devin Rowden, who rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Shepherd Hill Regional was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 498 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 206 rushing yards in nine consecutive games dating back to last season.

Shepherd Hill Regional's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Oakmont Regional, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Shepherd Hill Regional will head out to take on Marlborough at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 9.7 points per game this season, so the Rams' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Oakmont Regional, they will venture away from home to square off against West Boylston/Tahanto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
