Baseball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Madison was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Onsted Wildcats. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 14-12.

Brian Dopp was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Dopp is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Madison's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Onsted, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

While Madison had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
