Baseball Recap: Many Takes a Loss

Many fell victim to Natchitoches Central and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Chiefs, falling 14-0. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Many saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Thomas, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Thomas is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Many's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-13. As for Natchitoches Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Many's pitchers better be ready for this one: Winnfield has averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Natchitoches Central, they will venture away from home to face off against Parkway at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
