Basketball Game Preview: First State Military Academy Bulldogs vs. Dickinson Rams

First State Military Academy hasn't had much luck against Dickinson recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The First State Military Academy Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Dickinson Rams at 5:00 p.m.

First State Military Academy is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They lost 67-44 to Wilmington Charter.

Meanwhile, Dickinson came tearing into Monday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Vikings 63-23. That 40 point margin sets a new team best for the Rams this season.

Dickinson pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for First State Military Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.

First State Military Academy took a serious blow against Dickinson when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 60-33. Can First State Military Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
