Baseball Preview: Colbert County Indians vs. Belgreen Bulldogs
The Colbert County Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Belgreen Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Colbert County lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Danville, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. Colbert County was the clear victor by a 17-5 margin over Danville on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by exactly 12 runs.
Wesley Chaney made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. In other batting news, Dylan Castle and Peyton Gargis did most of the damage at the plate: Castle scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances, while Gargis scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.
