Football Recap: West Forsyth Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

West Forsyth took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Douglass Astros 27-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Wolverines just coasted through the last quarter.

A big part of West Forsyth's win came down to the chemistry between Max Walraven and his top target Mason Page. Walraven threw for 140 yards and two touchdowns while Page picked up 80 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The dominant performance also gave Page a new career-high in receiving touchdowns (two).

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to West Forsyth's defense and their three sacks. Andrew Davis was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Another thorn in Douglass' side was Jack Sacchetti, who made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Coming up, West Forsyth will host Marietta at 7:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Douglass, they will venture away from home to square off against Westlake at 7:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
