Football Game Preview: Atwater Falcons vs. El Capitan Gauchos + How To Watch

Atwater has gone 7-1 against El Capitan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gauchos at 7:00 p.m. Atwater will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

Atwater blew Buhach Colony out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Buhach Colony got their revenge. The Falcons fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 42-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Falcons have suffered since October 25, 2024.

Despite the defeat, Atwater got top-tier performance from Durrell Morrison, who rushed for 320 yards and three TDs while picking up 13.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 49 receiving yards and one touchdown. Morrison's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Ali Banks Jr, who threw for 98 yards and three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, El Capitan played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Los Banos, falling 42-21. The Gauchos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

El Capitan's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Atwater, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-3.
