Recap: Christian Educational Consortium Cougars vs. Beth Haven Bearcats
The Christian Educational Consortium Cougars came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Beth Haven, posting a 62-30 victory at home. Christian Educational Consortium has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Rachel King was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 40 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariana Wynder, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and four steals.
Christian Educational Consortium is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Beth Haven, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Educational Consortium will stay at home for another game and welcome Bluegrass at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. Bluegrass comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Beth Haven, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Doss at 6:00 p.m. Doss is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
